PARTNERSHIP GRADES

The IMDT Partnership Grades 1-6 are a fun, force free, challenging and rewarding training program for you and your dog, run by an accredited and qualified IMDT trainer. 

It's social, it's exciting and it's a huge flex when you and your dog work as a team! For more information on each exercise, please download this .pdf but any exercise can be adapted to include any dog and owner, regardless of abilities!

IMDT Partnership Grades 1-6 PDF

IMDT GRADE 1

Exercises to be completed:

​

  • Loose Lead Walking 100 meters with turns and Sits

  • Sit with Duration

  • Down with Durartion

  • Recall from 5 paces

  • Handling of Ear, Eye and Paw

  • Chin Rest

IMDT GRADE 2

Exercises to be completed:

​

  • Loose Lead Walking 200 meters with turns, pace changes and a Sit

  • Sit with Duration and Distraction

  • Down with Duration and Distraction

  • Recall from 20 paces to a Front Sit position

  • Clear Jump (Height to suit Dog)

  • Trick x 3

IMDT GRADE 3

Exercises to be completed:

​

  • Loose Lead Walking 300 meters with turns, pace changes, a Sit, Wait and Recall

  • Search with Retrieve

  • Emergency Stop

  • Greeting People off lead with no Jumping Up

  • Clear Jump off lead with Wait (Height to suit Dog)

  • Trick x 3 with Distance

IMDT GRADE 4

Exercises to be completed:

​

  • Loose Lead Walking 400 meters off lead with turns, a Sit, a Down and a side

  • Search with Indication

  • Down with Duration, Distance and Distraction

  • Greeting a Person and a friendly Dog off lead with no jumping at Person or contact with Dog

  • Boomerangs

  • Sendaway

IMDT GRADE 5

Exercises to be completed:

​

  • Loose Lead Walking 250 meters off lead and fast paced with turns, a Sit, a Down and a side swap

  • Search and Retrieve to Handler 4 separate items, each retrieved individually

  • Canine Knowledge Quiz

  • Sit with Distance, Duration and Distraction

  • Boomerangs with Distance

  • Sendaway with a Sit or Down and redirection

IMDT GRADE 6

Exercises to be completed:

​

  • Loose Lead Walking 300 meters off lead, with pace changes, turns, a Sit, a Down and two side swaps

  • Sequence of 5 Behaviours cued at distance

  • Directions at distance with a Sit or Down and Wait with Distractions

  • Retrieve x 3 to Middle, Retrieve to Front and Retrieve to Heel

  • Clear Jump with a Sit or Down and Wait with Distractions (Height to suit Dog)

  • Bang!
